With 30+ years of casting experience in the Boston area, Angela Peri, C.S.A., is the owner and founder of BOSTON CASTING, INC. Known as the hardest working woman in show business, Angela is a member of the Casting Society of America and an original member of the Massachusetts Production Coalition. Angela founded Boston Casting in 1991, and has cast thousands of national, regional and local productions from feature films to commercials, industrials and reality television. Her most recent projects include the Academy Award® nomiated film KNIVES OUT starring Daniel Craig, DEFENDING JACOB starring Chris Evans, SPENSER CONFIDENTIAL starring Mark Wahlberg, PROUD MARY starring Taraji P. Henson, I FEEL PRETTY starring Amy Schumer, EQUALIZER 2 starring Denzel Washington & CITY ON A HILL starring Kevin Bacon. Angela received an Artios Award from the Casting Society of America for BEST CASTING IN A FEATURE FILM, BIG BUDGET COMEDY (location casting) for KNIVES OUT in 2020.
Lisa Lobel, C.S.A.
Lisa Lobel, CSA – with over 20 years of casting experience, she is the co-owner of Boston Casting and one of the founders of the Media Performance division of Boston Casting (an acting school at Boston Casting).
Lisa was nominated for an Artios Award by the Casting Society of America for best local casting on SOUND OF METAL, a film that features an almost entirely deaf cast (and was nominated for six Academy Awards, including Best Picture!)
Lisa was the local casting director on the Netflix thriller I CARE A LOT and is eager to see her work on the big screen this August with FREE GUY, starring Ryan Reynolds.
Some of her past notable casting work includes the critically acclaimed independent film, DONALD CRIED, STRONGER, the Jeff Bauman story and the hit Netflix series, THE SOCIETY.
Lisa was the recipient of the 2018 “Woman of the Year” Imaginaire Award in Boston. She enjoys speaking to students around the country about careers in acting & casting and loves skiing and traveling with her husband, Eran and her three young-adult kids.
With Boston Casting since 2007, Hilary specializes in casting commercials, web videos, independent films and kids casting. Together with Angela Peri, CSA, Hilary has worked on such films as KNIGHT AND DAY starring Tom Cruise and Cameron Diaz, THE FIGHTER starring Mark Wahlberg, THE PROPOSAL with Sandra Bullock, PINK PATHER 2 with Steve Martin, and WHAT DOESN’T KILL YOU with Mark Ruffalo and Ethan Hawke. Her television credits include casting for LOUIE on FX and the pilot WAR OF ’04 as well as commercials and web videos for Zip Car, Mass. Lottery, Fidelity, Meineke, VISA, American Express, and Liberty Mutual. Prior to joining Boston Casting, Hilary ran her own casting office in New York, specializing in theater casting. She began her career as the resident casting director for The Philadelphia Festival Theater for New Plays based at the University of Pennsylvania. While there, she singlehandedly cast over 40 world premiere productions of new plays, by such well known playwrights as David Mamet, David Ives, Lee Blessing, Jules Feiffer. Hilary is a graduate of Oberlin College.

Brittany has been teaching acting classes to kids, teens and young adults for more than 14 years in Boston, Los Angeles and Washington, D.C. Given her experience in casting, her expertise lies in audition technique and some of her students can be seen on Disney Channel, Disney XD, Nickelodeon, NBC, ABC, Discovery Channel, as well as local/national commercials, print ads and even on Broadway!
Brittany relocated to Boston in 2012 after spending time in Los Angeles, casting both feature films and television programming. She began as a casting assistant for casting director Joseph Middleton and worked closely with casting directors Brandi Brice and Dana Gergely on Disney Channel’s hit television series A.N.T. FARM, and the Disney XD pilot SHMAGREGGIE SAVES THE WORLD! Since joining Boston Casting in 2012, Brittany routinely runs casting sessions for television/film, commercials and print ads.
Prior to living in Los Angeles, Brittany was the Director of Education for an acting school in Washington, D.C. for over four years. In addition to being the director, she also spent a great deal of time teaching both children and adults beginner and advanced acting courses. Brittany has a Bachelors Degree in Drama from Syracuse University’s School of Visual and Performing Arts, she holds a Massachusetts Provisional Teaching License in Theater (all levels K-12) and currently serves as the Director of Boston Casting's Media Performance.
Heather brings with her years of experience in TV, film and commercial casting. She previously worked with Doron Ofir Casting (Popular Productions) in LA and at House Casting (A Milk Group Company) in NYC. Heather's feature films credits include EQUALIZER 2, SLENDER MAN, PROUD MARY, XMEN: NEW MUTANTS, WHEELMAN, BRAD’S STATUS, and CADAVER - as well as the Netflix Series FRIENDS FROM COLLEGE and the ABC/Showtime pilot SMILF. A graduate of the New York Conservatory of Dramatic Arts. Heather continues to remain active in the Theater, Improv and Comedy scene here in Boston and is always on the hunt for new emerging talent.
Melissa, a Long Island native, graduated from Fitchburg State University where she received a Bachelor’s Degree in Communications, focusing on Film/Video & Theater, and minored in History. Her career began in 2016 with a summer internship at Boston Casting, where she quickly realized that the casting industry was where she wanted to be. Melissa returned as office manager and commercial Casting Assistant during the summer of 2017 working with clients like BAUER & DUNKIN DONUTS and then moved on to extras casting for a series of Katie Fforde films. She is now a casting associate whose feature film and TV series credits include SPENSER CONFIDENTIAL, KNIVES OUT, DEFENDING JACOB, CODA & THE UNHOLY.
Extras Casting Department
Douglas Cowell has worked in the entertainment industry for 7+ years as a Creative Director and Casting Director. He has worked on feature films, television, indy films and foreign films throughout Boston and New England. Doug has enjoyed working on set with many up-and-coming actors, as well as the talented crews and amazing directors. Some of the films that Doug has worked on are CHAPPAQUIDDICK, THE CATCHER IS A SPY, A RING FOR CHRISTMAS, WONDERLAND, FREE GUY as well as 15 German films. Doug has also assisted several of the classes at Boston Casting, feeding another love of his in teaching. When not in the Boston Casting office (or on set) Doug can be found in the classroom at several local colleges.
Mikayla attended The Boston Conservatory at Berklee where she studied Musical Theatre and went on to graduate from Penn State with a Degree in Acting. She interned with the Cannes Film Festival in France then joined Boston Casting, Inc. in 2018. Along with Casting, Mikayla also teaches acting. Mikayla is based in Boston, MA. Some of her most recent projects are: I CARE A LOT on Netflix and GODMOTHERED on Disney+.
Brett began her career in film and television in the spring of 2016. While working towards her degree from Curry College (where she received a Bachelors Degree in Communications with a focus in Theatre and Television, and a minor in English), Brett joined Boston Casting as an intern. After graduation, Brett moved to Los Angeles where she worked on several films, television shows, and commercials. Since moving back to Boston, she has once again joined the Boston Casting Team and has worked as a casting assistant on numerous commercials as well as the feature film I CARE A LOT.
Ann started her career in the business in 1977, working with American Residuals and Talent, a casting and paymaster company. In 1980, she went out on her own as Ann Baker Casting. Working in film, television, and theatrical communities, Ann is a seasoned casting director. From 1982 to 1990, she served as the New England casting liaison for ABC-NY, and was the casting director for the ABC-TV series Spenser: For Hire, the feature film Mr. North, produced by John Huston, the Emmy Award winning PBS series Concealed Enemies, a CBS movie of the week First Affair, andThe Gathering Part II for NBC. For 11 years she ran her own full-service organization, Ann Baker Casting Company. She is a recognized leader in the development of the industrial film market and has worked with producers from Digital, General Electric, Raytheon, and the AMA. When not casting, Ann specializes in coaching beginner and advanced on-camera commercial technique.
